The V Conference of the Association of Trade Unions of Basic Industries was held

On April 23, 2021, was held the regular V Conference of the Association of Trade Unions of Basic Industries and Construction of the Russian Federation, the member organization of which since its inception has been the ROGWU.

The key question of the agenda was the report on the activities of the Council of the Association for the period from April 2016 to April 2021 and approval of the main directions of further activities of the Association.

In the framework of the meeting the Council of the Association was elected for a five-year-period, and it included 10 chairmen of Association’s member Trade Unions.

At the end of the Conference, the first meeting of the Council of the Association of Trade Unions of the Basic Industries and Construction of the Russian Federation was held, at which, by unanimous decision, Aleksandr Korchagin, the ROGWU President was elected to the post of President of the Association, and Alexander Sitnov, Chairman of the Russian Chemical Trade Union, became the Vice President of the Association. Lev Mironov, who led the Association since its inception, remained the Honorary President of the Association.

The Conference ended with another important event for trade unions-members of the Association - in a solemn atmosphere, the members of the Association signed an Agreement on cooperation between the trade unions of the basic industries and construction of the Russian Federation.
