Training is an important link in the work of trade unions

From May 19 to 20, 2022, an international seminar on training of trade union workers organized by the Belkhimprofoyuz took place in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), in which a delegation of the Rogwu also took part.

The seminar was opened by vice President of the Belkhimprofoyuz Valery Titov and vice President of the Rogwu Nadezhda Zvyagintseva. In their speeches, they informed the participants in detail about the trade union training systems that successfully operate in related trade unions and allow for comprehensive training of trade union activists. In addition, they expressed confidence that the participants of the seminar will exchange best practices that will be applied in practice in the future, and wished the participants fruitful creative work.

Representatives of trade union organizations that are part of the structure of the Belkhimprofoyuz, in their speeches, shared the practice of conducting training events for trade union activists, and also presented the best practices in this area.

In addition, the participants of the event learned about the author's trainings of applicants for victory in the framework of summing up the results of the Belkhimprofoyuz competition "The Best trade union teacher".

A member of the Russian delegation, Sergey Leykand, head of the organizational and trade union department of the Rogwu office, brought to the forum participants the Russian industry practice of distance learning implemented in the Rogwu in recent months, presented projects for training young trade union activists, and also announced plans to hold training seminars in the near future. Two more representatives of the Rogwu – Elena Tereshchenko, vice President of the Volgograd Territorial Organization of the Rogwu, and Svetlana Chernobaeva, a leading specialist in organizational and trade union work of the united primary trade union organization LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez LLC - presented the author's methods of conducting trade union seminars, focusing on the so-called coaching practices.

At the end of the event, the presentation of the training program "Public control over compliance with labor protection legislation carried out by a trade union organization", prepared by representatives of the Belkhimprofoyuz, took place.

All participants of the seminar noted the usefulness and importance of such events, which provide an opportunity to take a fresh look at the problems of trade union training, learn from foreign colleagues and share their achievements. Mutual enrichment of knowledge and practical experience in improving the qualifications of elected trade union workers is the key to effective protection of the legitimate rights and economic interests of employees in Russia and the Republic of Belarus.
